I blog about West Africa. Most posts are on Liberia, though I also write about Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Cote d’Ivoire, and Guinea
.
I received a BA from Emory University. After graduating I worked as an intern in Nigeria with Constitutional Rights Project, a local human rights group. I then worked with Global Rights, an international human rights group, in Liberia. More recently I worked with a foundation in New York. I have done fieldwork in Cote d’Ivoire and northern Nigeria. My CV is here.
I like riding trains, the Sunday New York Times, and hummus. My favorite book is Acts of Faith by Philip Caputo.
I welcome feedback on this blog. My email is shelbygrossman (at) gmail (dot) com.
