Judges have denied Charles Taylor’s defense team’s request to reopen his case to submit into evidence a UN Panel of Experts on Liberia report. You can read the ruling here. The judges decided that the defense team’s explanation for why it took them 8 weeks from the release of the report to the motion filing was not sufficient. Other reasons given included the late stage of the trial and the delay that this would result in.
