Potential human rights commissioner might have ties to human traffickers

Cartoon_7

Cartoon by A. Leslie Lumeh from here.

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s nominee to head the Independent Human Rights Commission has been linked to a case involving six Pakistanis who were arrested in Liberia on suspicion that they are involved in human trafficking.

I don’t know where to start.

Sirleaf has placed a hold on the confirmation of the nominee, Cllr. Loseni Bility.

The Pakistanis were arrested upon arrival at the airport outside Monrovia.  The Daily Observer and Star Radio report they are being interviewed by INTERPOL.  The Liberian Defense Minister said that one of the Pakistanis removed the sim card from his cell phone and swallowed it before being arrested.

It remains unclear to me how the term human trafficking is being used in this case.  Anyone have more information on any of this?
