Questions for Rapp

Just when you thought The Trial of Charles Taylor blog could not get any cooler, it has. They are letting readers post questions that will be posed to the lead prosecutor, Stepehn Rapp, next week. After Taylor ends his testimony, they will do the same with his lead lawyer, Courtenay Griffiths.

As I read through the questions that have been posed so far, I noticed that many questions re-phrased arguments that Taylor has been making. Some excerpts follow as examples of this:
  • It’s being awhile now since you made us to understand that Taylor has millions of blood diamond money stacked in foreign banks. To date you have not shown us dime of the Taylor millions. Don’t you thinkl it is time that you show the millions to further boost the prosecution case?
  • The NPFL did not cut the hands and left of Liberians during their brutal fighting as the RUF did in SL.
Hat tip to Glenna.

One good question that could have been posed to Mr Rapp was on the rationale behind spending huge amount of money on a supposed “expert” witness as Ms Dufka whose evidence has been dismissed as irrelevant and biased . Would’nt the money have been better appreciated by a war victim ?
