Jeremy Levitt, author of a pricey-but-good book called The Evolution of Deadly Conflict in Liberia, will be speaking at Wagner College in Staten Island this month. The event is free and open to the public, and will be on Friday, April 18 at 6pm. More details available here. (Apparently there will be free Liberian food samples from Korto’s Place, a restaurant everyone keeps recommending I go to.)
This is the book to read if you are looking for a factual political science-y history of how Liberia was settled. And to the best of my knowledge it is the only book on Liberia that covers the 1999-2003 fighting. (Correct me if I’m wrong about this.)
I am an occasional reader… shelbygrossman.com. $10/year…
How?
I run the Natural Resource Issues Liberia Blog (since July 2006) at http://liberianature.blogspot.com/
Not as prolific as you since the grand social commentary is not my thing.
Thanks for all you do.

“Grand social commentary” ?? I’m not so sure about that!
I just added your blog as a link under “Liberian Civil Society Groups.” Let me know if it should go somewhere else.
Cheers,
