Mini-Documentary on Liberia
Ruthie Ackerman, Andre Lambertson, and Naje Lataillade produced a mini-documentary on ex-combatants in Liberia that aired on PBS this morning. The video is available online by going to their blog and then clicking on the second image on the page.
They interview the guy who always sat outside Abi Jaoudi in the evening with the little wooden box. Apparently there is a communal system; different men sit there throughout the day, and at night they share the profits from the small donations.
