I joined this amazing YMCA in Manhattan. Personal TVs on each elliptical. Crazy. My gym in Liberia had two treadmills, two bikes, free weights. Although the advantage was that I was usually the only person using the gym, and could thus sing out loud while working out. The Liberia gym also forgot that I never renewed my membership, so I used it for free for about 2 months. The YMCA charges a $125 registration fee plus $83/month. Ouch.

I’m living with a friend in a cute apartment in Brooklyn. My friend’s old boss donated her furniture, which is nicer than anything I will ever own.
