On Wednesday I attended an event on land reform at University of Liberia. The event was hosted by a great Liberian NGO called Green Advocates. BBC article on the event, and land issues in Liberia generally.

This is a picture of a Paramount Chief (right) from a community in Bomi County that “donated” land to Guthrie Rubber Plantation. The chief expressed frustration that his community does not benefit from Guthrie profits, and that they are not getting sufficient jobs from the plantation. On the left is a Governor from Cape Mount County, who translated from Gola.
