Landscaped and Pot-Holed

Broad Street. It has a beautiful landscaped divider, complete with bright green grass and benches and antique-looking lights. It looks quite nice, I admit, but could the money have been better spent on fixing some pot holes? My driver has to spend so much money on servicing his car because of the pot holes around town. Fixing some of the really bad pot holes (and if I could make a special request, the ones at the top of Ashmun Street are not only bad, but unavoidable) would save my driver (and many other drivers) lots of money on car repairs and tire replacements.

Also, why are the street lights on in the middle of the day? Even in this picture you can tell that they are on. 90% of the time when I cross Broad Street in the morning during my commute to work the lights are on. Is this a good use of government electricity? Powering street lights in daytime?

Shelby, I’m sure these roads will be repaved in due time. Thanks for the pic of broad street. I see trash on the street…I think there needs to be public education against littering.

I think it looks like crap. I hardly call removing beautiful flowering trees landscaping.
