In Kolahun, as happened throughout Liberia, fighters would mark their territory by writing on walls.

“Col. Young Killer in Action for Navy in Foya.”
“The Downfall of a Man is Not the End of His Life.”

Foya is a town in Lofa.

Anyone want to help me understand the second quote?

  1. Anonymous says

“THE DOWN FALL OF A MAN IS NOT THE END OF HIS LIFE.” RIGHT.

IT IS A SAYING THAT SIMPLY MEANS LIFE CONTINUES. EXAMPLE IF YOU LOST YOUR JOB OR YOUR BOYFIREND OR HUSBAND OR A FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO BOUNCE BACK AND CONTINUE LIVING LIFE, DESPITE THE GRIEF AND HARDSHIP.

SIMPLY PUT, JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE DOWN OR BECAUSE SOMEONE WISHES YOU ILL WILL DOES NOT MEAN LIFE IS OVER. I DONT KNOW IF I EXPLAIN IT BETTER. I TRY ATLEAST HUH?
