I am working for a large, well-established, American NGO, but I am being “hosted” by an excellent but underfunded Liberian NGO. The Liberian NGO is housed in a building with several other local NGOs. They used to have a resource room, but the man who directed the resource room was drafted into Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s government. This is not uncommon. Many civil society leaders have taken powerful positions under Ellen. Anyways, the resource room is no longer maintained. It has copies of Newsweek from 1998 and old newspapers.
